In this week’s 5 minute update, we focused on:

1) The current status of the Israel / PLO peace process
2) The possible collapse of the US dollar this fall

The USA and the EU continue to call upon Israel and the PLO to restart peace talks based upon 1967 borders with agreed land swaps as outlined by President Obama in a recent speech he gave on the Middle East peace process.  The USA and the EU are giving signals of political isolation of Israel. There was a meeting of EU foreign ministers and various Arab countries where the main subject was Israel and the peace process but Israel was not invited to this event.  President Obama warned that there may be more tactical disagreements with Israel in the future.  The PLO have said that even if peace talks are restarted they will continue with their plans to go to the UN to seek recognition of a PLO state.  Israel says that the PLO must recognize Israel as a Jewish state as a baseline to restart peace talks.  So far, there are about 118 nations who have expressed willingness to recognize a PLO state at the UN. In order for a resolution to pass in the UN General Assembly, the PLO needs  at least 128 nations to support their cause.  The EU says that under certain conditions they may vote to recognize a PLO state at the UN.  Hizbollah has said that if Assad of Syria looks like his government will fall from power that they will start a war with Israel to protect Assad.

Finally, Pastor Lindsey Williams gives a special report indicating that according to his global elite contacts that the other Arab countries will fall and the last country to fall will be Saudi Arabia. When Saudi Arabia falls, oil will go to $150 – $200 a barrel.  The US will open oil fields that were discovered over 30 years ago.  The US will default on its debt.  This fall gold will increase 20% – 25%.

An agreement to divide Jerusalem and establish a PLO state is a tribulation event.

LEAP2020 website (leap2020.eu) in their May, June and July monthly reports are warning of a collapse of the US dollar this fall. Russia and China will begin trading between each other in their own currencies rather than the US dollar. This weakens the US dollar being the international reserve currency.

Worldwide economic collapse resulting in a one-world currency is a tribulation event.

From a Biblical prophetic perspective, the reason why the God of Israel would allow these events to happen is because it will result in the end of the exile of the house of Jacob and the reunification of the 12 tribes of Israel (Ephraim and Judah).

We will to be “watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem” and we will not rest until the God of Israel makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth (Isaiah 62).

In this week’s 5 minute update, we focused on:

1) The current status of the Israel / PLO peace process

The USA along with the European Union through the influence of France is making an effort to try to restart peace talks between Israel and the PLO.  They want any future peace talks to be based upon 1967 borders with agreed land swaps as outlined by President Obama in his May 19th speech. This policy was endorsed in the past week by a group of 46 European and Asian countries.  In an effort to do so, the USA invited Israel representative Isaac Molcho and PLO representative Erekat to the USA to find a way to restart talks.

The USA is applying pressure upon the PLO by threatening to veto through the UN Security Council a PLO request through the United Nations this coming September to recognize a PLO state and withhold economic aid.  The PLO indicated that they are willing to have peace talks with Israel if Israel will stop building in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.  If the US does veto through the UN Security Council a request by the PLO for recognition of a PLO state this September, the PLO indicated that they may alternatively ask the UN to implement the UN partition plan of November 29, 1947 which called for a Jewish state, an Arab state and Jerusalem being an international city.  Furthermore, if there are peace talks, the PLO have also stated that they will seek recognition of a PLO state through the United Nations anyhow.  The PLO are lobbying nations of the world with particular emphasis on European countries to recognize a PLO state this September at the UN through the UN General Assembly. Israel is doing the same against support of a PLO state.

Israel has stated that they are willing to have peace talks with the PLO without preconditions.  The USA expressed disappointment with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not willing to have peace talks based upon Obama’s parameters of 1967 borders with agreed land swaps.  It seems that Obama put forth his Middle East policy and gave his speech in part to try to make the claim that he is pro-Israel but lay the blame for failure of peace talks upon Netanyahu so that Israel can be politically isolated from the international community at a future time.  Israel has stated that if the UN recognizes a PLO state this September that they will no longer be obligated to the Oslo accords of 1993 or any agreement made with the PLO in the past 18 years.  In an Israeli poll, the Israeli people are overwhelmingly in favor of Netanyahu’s policies that protect the security interests of Israel without dividing the city of Jerusalem.  There is a meeting in Jerusalem this coming week of those outside the Israel government to discuss the possibility of declaring the sovereignty and independence of Judea-Samaria (West Bank) in the event that the United Nations recognize a PLO state.  Finally, Egypt has recognized the Muslim brotherhood as an official political party.

An agreement to divide Jerusalem and establish a PLO state is a tribulation event.

In this week’s 5 minute update, we focused on several things:

1) The current status of the Israel / PLO peace process

Israel and the PLO disagree on parameters for a peace agreement in 5 key areas. They are:  borders and land swaps, Hamas and recognition of Israel, control of the Jordan Valley, Jerusalem and the “Arab Spring”. It appears that the PLO are seeking to implement the strategy contained in the 1974 phased-plan destruction of Israel. A leading Fatah official said that Fatah has never recognized Israel and never will.  Mahmood Abbas does not want a single Jew in a PLO state. The Arab League voted to discontinue seeking peace talks with Israel and instead recommended to the PLO that they try to obtain recognition of a PLO state at the United Nations in September.  Israel says that they can’t stop the PLO from seeking to obtain UN recognition of a PLO state in September. In order to implement this plan, the PLO must begin the process in mid-July. In order to convince the West of a moderate image, Mahmood Abbas wants Salam Fayyad as the PLO Prime Minister. The PLO will be conducting civilian marches on the borders of Israel to protest the results of the 1967 war beginning June 5.  PLO officials warn that this could be the beginning of the 3rd intifada. Israel is not convinced that the Obama has persuaded Europe against recognizing a PLO state in September.  Spain has announced that it will support a PLO state at the United Nations this September. Perhaps in order to justify their political position of supporting a PLO this September, France has announced that they are willing to host an Israeli-PLO peace conference in Paris this July. Will there be war in the Middle East this summer? Will the UN recognize a PLO state this September? Based upon the current stalemate in the peace process, war or UN recognizing of a PLO state this September seems to be where the current road is heading.

An agreement to divide Jerusalem and establish a PLO state is a tribulation event.
